Pricing questions
Is there a setup fee?
On Essentials and Full service it’s a one-time $250. That covers loading your roster, plans and current elections, so you start with everything already in place. With a partner agency there is no setup fee, and it’s waived for groups switching from BerniePortal or another benefits platform by December 31, 2026.
What counts as an employee?
Each active employee on your roster that month. Dependents and terminated employees are not counted.
Can we keep our current broker?
Yes. Essentials and Full service work with any broker. Your broker relationship and your carrier contracts stay the same.
Why is it $0 with a partner agency?
Your partner agency is the broker of record on your group health plan. BenefitsDock is part of the service that agency provides, paid for out of the agency’s normal compensation from the carrier. You are not billed for the software.
How do we pay?
ACH autopay once a month. Cards are accepted with a 3% processing fee.
Are there long contracts?
No. Every plan is month to month. If you leave, we give you an export of your employee and election records.
